Carey D. Bozovich, M.A.
Carey began piano lessons at age 8 and studied piano and cello throughout high school. She was awarded a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Music Education in 1980 from Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA. After completing her course-work for a Masters Degree, she lived for a year in Vienna, Austria where she studied with Michael Gailit of the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Following her return to the states and opening her Music Studio in 1984, Carey was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Music History in 1985 from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI where she studied with the renowned musicologist Hans-Jorgen Holman. Carey is a member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
In addition to teaching private lessons, Carey has been actively involved in church music and worship. Duties at Denver South Seventh-day Adventist church included directing the choir for over 25 years, organizing and playing in the orchestra and planning worship services and special event services.
For musical enjoyment, Carey loves holding Hausmusik at her home where various musicians come together and sightread chamber music after a delicious meal. Her hobbies include gardening and travel.
